Quick Facts

The More You Know

1 Hypnosis is real, and you actually experience it every day. +

YES, it is! You actually experience a hypnotic state daily, it’s the same state you drift through as you fall asleep and wake up in the morning. Hypnosis guides your brain into the theta brainwave state, a naturally slower brainwave state tied to deep relaxation and subconscious access. Hypnosis just helps you access it on purpose, instead of by accident.

2 Hypnotherapy works by intentionally slowing your brainwaves down for a purpose. +

A hypnotherapist uses guided relaxation, breathing, and focused language to bring your brain into theta on purpose, then works with you toward a specific goal, stress relief, confidence, or clarity, while you’re in that naturally receptive state.

3 Participating in hypnosis is safe and backed by real, peer-reviewed research. +

A 2024 review of 49 meta-analyses spanning 20 years of research found consistent, measurable improvements in stress and relaxation, with no serious adverse events reported.

4 Most people can be hypnotized if they choose to participate. +

Most people can enter a hypnotic state to some degree. It’s a natural ability, not a special gift, which is why the National Institutes of Health has named hypnosis a research priority, it works reliably enough to study at real scale.

5 Hypnosis is used in clinical settings worldwide for stress, anxiety, pain management, and more. +

This isn’t a fringe idea. Hypnosis is recognized by the American Psychological Association and used in clinical settings worldwide, including hospitals, for stress, anxiety, and pain management.

Your Session Guide

Meet Rosana

I’m a hypnotherapist based in Tennessee, and I founded Soul Convos in 2022 because I wanted to help people heal and grow with hypnosis.

My own journey with hypnosis started during pregnancy, when I used it for pain management for all four of my home births. That experience changed how I understood what our minds and bodies are capable of. Now I’m passionate about empowering people to discover this for themselves. Whether getting answers from a past life, connecting with your intuition, or healing old wounds (physical or mental), I am ready to help guide you along your journey!

If you have any questions before booking, please reach out. I read every message myself, and I’m genuinely here to help however I can.

What You’ll Leave With

★★★★★

“Rosana is a wonderful healer of the soul. I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect, but she came highly recommended by a friend, so I decided to give her a try…. She made me feel safe, loved, and strong…. I felt better and more healed following my one session with Rosana than I’ve ever felt doing traditional therapy. I cannot recommend her enough!”

Aviation Professional

★★★★★

“Wonderful deep and relaxing hypnosis. It helped me with self-reflection and acceptance about myself. I slept like a baby after and was super energetic in the morning. She even gave me a self-hypnosis tool, which I will use further on. I am very glad that I did the hypnosis. Thank you so much!”

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I lose control or get “stuck” during hypnosis? +

No. You remain fully aware and in control the entire time, you can open your eyes, speak, or stop the session at any point, and there’s no way to get stuck. According to Mayo Clinic, nothing happens without your consent.

What does hypnosis actually feel like? +

Most people describe it as deeply relaxed but fully aware, similar to the feeling right before falling asleep, or being completely absorbed in a good book.

Will I remember the session afterward? +

Yes, for the vast majority of people. Research on hypnosis and memory shows that memory loss during hypnosis isn’t automatic, it only occurs in specific cases where it’s intentionally suggested, and even then, mainly in highly hypnotizable individuals.

How is hypnosis different from therapy? +

Hypnosis works directly with the subconscious mind rather than talking through a problem analytically. A 2024 review of 49 meta-analyses found medium-to-large effects across many outcomes, which is part of why people often feel real shifts in a single session.

Is one session really enough, or will I need to keep coming back? +

For many people, yes. A 2022 peer-reviewed study on single-session hypnotherapy found it can be an effective, standalone treatment on its own. You’ll also leave with a self-hypnosis tool to continue the practice yourself.

Do I need to believe in hypnosis for it to work? +

No. An open mind helps, but hypnosis has a formal clinical definition from the American Psychological Association as a natural, documented brain state, not something requiring belief beforehand.

Is what I share during a session confidential? +

Yes. What’s discussed stays between us, the same standard of privacy you’d expect from any professional wellness practice.

How do I prepare, and are sessions available online or in person? +

Wear something comfortable, avoid caffeine beforehand, and come with an open mind, no special preparation needed. Sessions are available both virtually and in person; a 2021 study found 65% of people actually prefer online hypnotherapy for the comfort of their own space.
